I’m aware of several folks who have trained bipolar one-channel montages just below O1 and O2, at the top edge of the inion ridge, for balance and gait issues (certainly cerebellar issues) and claim to have gotten very good results. They used a bipolar and inhibited 4-7 Hz while very mildly reinforcing 15-18 Hz activity. Gender-Related Differences Everything I’ve ever seen about brain function–I don’t track anatomy and geography–shows little or no gender difference. All of the work done on alpha and beta symmetry has obviously been done with men and women, and everything backs up the beta-stronger-left, alpha-stronger-right findings for emotional stability.
Also Eneuresis My experience has generally been that enuresis responds well to speeding up the left side of the brain, either by reducing slow activity or by training up beta (or both), depending on the client. Bell’s Palsy is usually related to an injury to a cranial nerve. If you can’t identify a source of the injury, chances are it was fairly minor and should improve by itself fairly quickly. There is a correlation between immune system weakness and recurrence, so trying some alpha training at P4 or O1 might be a good way to work with it. Headphones You can’t use headphones with any kind of electrical circuitry, volume controls, noise-canceling ability, etc. Use plain headphones or earbuds. If you do an internet search on ear clip headphones or clip on headphones, there are many inexpensive brands that do not interfere with electrodes on the scalp the way standard headphones may.
