Driver Installation and Troubleshooting

The Brain-Trainer setup installer files for amplifiers include drivers for your amplifier. If something does not work as expected with your amplifier, there are a few things you can check.

Device “Connecting” rather than “Connected”

  • Check the power of the device is on.
  • Check that the USB plug is inserted into the full depth of the device’s socket.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the cable to the computer.
  • Try a different USB port on your computer.
  • If using a USB hub or extender, remove it and connect the amplifier directly to the computer’s USB port.

If the device is still not connected, see below for a tip for your amplifier.


Check that you have selected your device in the settings window. It should say Device model: Neurobit Optima+ 4 USB (not bluetooth). Select it if it is not already.

If you are unable to change the Device model, run the device installer again. BioExplorer’s installation may have overwritten the newest driver files.

Then, open Optima settings and select Neurobit Optima+ 4 USB as device model and close settings and properties windows.



Remove the device from BioExplorer | Devices (Device Manager)

Then add the PN Wiz device anew.

Then select the COM port and close device properties window.
